It would be fantastic if they made a follow up or a sequel to the series (though they wouldn't call it the Chinese Detective perhaps something that hints at the central character being oriental and please make sure he gets to do some friggin Kung Fu or Muay thai or even a bit of Marquis of Queensbury!).

If you saw these two series on television all those years ago and liked them, I would say to you: don't hesitate to buy this DVD set and re-live the pleasure of this rather quirky series once again, due to the engaging relationship between the Chinese detective and his sharp-tongued and patronising boss.
