We thought this was great because we are all non smokers & two of the kids in our group have asthma. He says well, what do you want?!

Best ride picked by the kids was the Black Widow! The employee ignores us and says "i guess no one" and puts the ball at the stand and goes back to scooping. Originally a trolley park. The first time was "magical". Pitt Fall (1997-2011) Overall, this was not a good experience and we won't be recommending Kennywood to anyone and we will not be back.



This elaborate dark ride was housed in the building that was originally built as the park's dance hall which opened one year after the park in 1899. We certainly won't be returning, and I can only hope that these negative reviews galvanize ownership into doing something to save and revamp a beloved Pittsburgh attraction.We had a large family group with kids ranging from 7 to 17.

The Phantoms revenge, the Raging Rapids, & the Pittsburgh Plunge were all closed when we got there.

Earlier this year, fans of Kennywood went insane when the park they would start selling beer in a small designated area within the park.

Goodbye to this Kennywood, we will miss the old one!

We were excited, we had won! Went over labor day weekend and the crowd was not too bad. Knoebels is well maintained, has a variety of food to sample, and just about all of the rides were operating. We made our way over to the Pong Pool. We were just shocked at his behavior and attitude!!! If you’re looking to get soaked on a hot summer day, the Raging Rapids is the ride for you.
So, we took the kids to another game and the employee was just SO enthusiastic about working that he just took our money walked away to a microphone says yada yada yada, go! We say we did, my wife did. I tracked down Larry Kirchner after I saw his company, Halloween Productions, mentioned briefly in a 2008 Pittsburgh Post Gazette article about new attractions at Kennywood. We end up throwing the rest of our balls and I finally walk over the other employee.

Shame on you the owners of Kennywood!!! Unless the owners get there acts together I will not be coming back to a place that was once a must for summertime. The Old Mill is the oldest ride still standing at Kennywood.

The arrival of the Turnpike ride at Kennywood in 1966 unfortunately sealed the fate of Laff in the Dark although it would soon surface in a different location in the park with a new name and a new look.
We feel history and fun is a great combo too, and look forward to having you back again soon.If it the main attraction theme park of Pittsburgh its a great family outing. He came back acting all ticked off at us, hands over the prize, and goes over to a clip board to right down the win. No matter how many times I've been to Kennywood I can't wait to go back.

It was great for the kids...Kennywood use to be a fun & affordable amusement park. We went on the train ride, the whole time the cars/wheels were screeching so loudly that you could not hear the voice on the tour and there was a bad smell of exhaust or fuel or something. Will put this attraction on our list of next summer.went with my teen son after spending a few day in Pittsburgh attending sporting events and found a park that probably has seen better days but when a park has stayed open for over a hundred years it also has a lot of history.got some discount tickets at the great eagle grocery store to save money.we started with the bumper cars near the main entrance and spent a few hours riding a good selection of roller coasters .you have to go into the noahs ark ride ,its looks all wholesome on the outside and you get in and you wonder what madman designed this,we laughed our butts off.these types of parks will never compare to Disney or cedar point but have a charm all of their own,a time when life was a little simpler .the park is about a half hour from downtown Pittsburgh and has paid and free parking depending how far you want to walk.McDonalds and long john silvers right across the street if you need to get something else to eat then park food.What a beautiful park and unique rides.

They have designated smoking sections through out the park & they are in the worst spots possible.

Riders must be at least 42″ tall to ride. Paid $5 for a bucket of ping pong balls and you try to toss them into a pool and land it in a little dish.

One of my favorite childhood memories long since gone was what I feel was one of Kennywood's Greatest dark rides, The Ghost Ship.
