With a general to keep morale up and 2 light calvarys or something to mop up routers wouldn't this be a very good composition? These are elite heavy infantry armed with katana; expertly crafted two-handed swords that are a perfect combination of sharpness and resilience. TW games aren't really about making the best death stacks you can, but to make the most efficient stack that can help you expand the fastest. I was thinking this would be the best army composition because Naginata's especially have good enough armor to survive archers, they beat most everything in melee and the things they don't beat the enemy won't have enough of because a good portion of their army will be cav and archers which will be useless.Also the AI typically doesn't have much for gunpowder units. Nodachi Samurai are chargers, they do awfully in prolonged combat and should only be used for hammer and anvil. Naginata Samurai have the highest armor value of all non-special infantry, making them an excellent choice for tanking enemy arrows. I am playing as chosokabe. Generally you won't really notice katana samurai's better melee offense stats paying off a lot, though I like to have them when defending a castle since you don't have to worry about cavalry charges at all when you're in the castle.
