Pillars of smoke began to rise all over the valley as the recon teams called in fire. It was from reading this book that I became aware of how little I actually knew about some of thNot sure why we never made it to the Vietnam War in history classes, but we always seemed to stop well before that time period. The battle scenes were great and the commendable job of these soldiers to survive a night like this is legendary.Great story, great characters. It seemed even hotter to Hildreth 45 years later, what with his 64-year-old legs aching from the climb to the top.
