I would recommend this beach for anyone willing to travel a couple hours for a fun beach trip. Love this place and will be back! Description. I think my only gripe was $12 to park here. What is this Disneyland? The fire department brings their fire truck and they spray water during the whole event to help stay cool. Not to mention silver beach pizza is a short walk away.

The kids love the beachside playground!!!

There is also a big bathroom house as well. Lifeguards, playground structures, concessions, and big restrooms are all a plus.

We love Silver Beach Park. It's a great memory of our first trip to Lake Michigan.The beach was beautiful, clean  and a nice size . Beautiful contrast between the sand and snow.

Everyone flocks here once the weather is warm to enjoy the water, the swings/ park equipment close by and the small concession stand that has summery treats.Great beach area!

So much so that we are already planning to come back next summer and possibly stay a few days. We came to watch the sunset. The train-shaped jungle gym and farmers market play area are undeniably awesome, but the splash pad steals the show. We parked about three blocks and walked down so we saved the hassle of being in the middle of cars  coming and going in all directions.This beach is the most known and most popular beach in the area.

But make sure you get there in the morning because if you go after 5pm there will not parking in the whole area!
Portable grills are not allowed. Come early if you want to find parking, as it fills up quite quickly. Pets must be on a leash and remain on the sidewalk (no pets in the water or on the sand or beach).

First time coming to saint joseph and it didnt disappoint water was clean beach was clean and people were friendly. From beaches and swimming pools to splash pads and water parks; this is the BEST resource for all things water fun in and around Mid-Michigan! The water is awesome, it's all sand ....lots of visibility & good swimming area - I felt safe.Can imagine this would be nice during warm season. There are two very large playgrounds , one for younger children and one for a little bit older  as well as four swings for older kids .
